The nomination petitions of Oro Valley Council candidates Doug Burke and Joe Winfield are being challenged in court because of irregularities. Oro Valley resident Don Bristow filed Pima County Superior Court Friday, Sept. 18.
The cases will be heard in Pima County Superior Court on Wednesday, Sept. 23 at 10 and 11 a.m.
The Oro Valley Mayor Satish Hiremath, Vice Mayor Lou Waters, and Councilmembers Joe Hornat and Mary Snider are facing recall because of their decision to invest town resources in golf course.
